Diplôme de formation continue DAS en archéologie classique et droit des biens culturels
L’Unité d’archéologie classique et le Centre du droit de l’art de l’Université de Genève offrent conjointement dès septembre 2014 une formation innovante, alliant les compétences de la Chaire UNESCO en droit international de la protection des biens culturels et la tradition bien établie d’enseignement et de recherche des archéologues genevois. Cet enseignement permettra de s’initier à la fois aux problématiques de l’archéologie classique en tant que discipline et à celles du droit et de l’éthique liés à la protection du patrimoine archéologique.

Cette formation transdisciplinaire et partiellement à distance s'adresse à un public professionnel actif dans les domaines juridique, culturel, archéologique ou artistique, et à toute autre personne intéressée.

Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) – Provenance Research
Provenance research has become one of the main disciplines in museum work. It refers to investigations designed to retrace the history of an object, whatever its nature, from its creation or discovery. More specifically, it aims to establish changes in ownership and to ensure that the object has not been wrongfully seized from its rightful owner.

The CAS-course in «Provenance Research» organised by the Institute of Art History and Museology at the University of Neuchâtel is designed to train museum professionals and, more broadly, individuals working in the cultural sector to meet the new thematic and methodological challenges, providing them with practical and theoretical knowledge and a global vision of themes related to colonial contexts and property looted during the National Socialist period.
